The Nineties: Daoist Outcast? I Turn Around and Conquer the Underworld

With a steel pipe in hand, I fought my way from the first floor to the eighth and took down the most notorious gang boss in Nancheng in the 1990s.

When the police asked who I was, I told them I was a Taoist priest, just passing through and setting things straight.

They didn't know I only wanted to lie flat in a ruined temple. They were the ones who insisted on forcing me, the young master, to make a comeback!

I studied Taoism on Qingcheng Mountain for ten years, then my master sent me down the mountain to gain worldly experience.

My old man wants me to restore the Yihe Hall. I just want to collect enough money from the donation box to buy a new fan.

A quiet, carefree life, eating for free and waiting to die, that's the only way for me!

But this underworld just won't leave me in peace!

You collect protection money from me, a Taoist priest? Fine. I'll break your legs so you can enjoy the blessings of a carefree life for the rest of yours.

A local thug is bullying my neighbor, Granny Wang? Great. I'll turn you into a crawling insect, left to ponder life in a wheelchair.

The new Smiling Buddha wants to play mind games with me? Perfect. I'll show you that in the face of absolute strength, schemes and tricks are nothing but a joke.

Who was the Yihe Hall mole behind the ten-year-old case that ended with my mother's brutal death?

What earth-shattering secret lies behind my old man's imprisonment?

I only wanted to keep to myself, yet I've become the Taoist master everyone fears.

I only wanted to be a couch potato, yet somehow I ended up stepping over everyone's corpses and taking the most troublesome seat of power.

Sigh...

Don't mess with me. I only want to lie flat. But if you think my ruined temple is an easy target...

Then I'll just have to get up and beat every one of you to the ground.

After all, fighting is a lot easier than dealing with a bunch of troublemakers like you.
