Great Qin’s Virtuous Minister Support System

In the late Warring States period, the Zhou royal house was in decline, the Seven States contended for supremacy, and warfare raged without end. After the Qin state enacted reforms under Duke Xiao, expanded east under King Huiwen, and steadily annexed the Six States under King Zhaoxiang, it had gained the strength to unify the realm by the time Ying Zheng took power. Society had changed as the well-field system collapsed and private ownership of land took hold. Legalism shaped Qin governance, though the influence of the Hundred Schools of Thought remained. Qin people prized martial valor and merit. Traditional customs flourished, including ancestral rites, exorcism dances, and spring plowing ceremonies. The divide between nobles and commoners was stark, and the people at the bottom suffered under war and forced labor.

The Great Qin Worthy Minister Assistance System is a support tool rooted in Chinese civilization, centered on the principles of “assisting a wise ruler and bringing peace to the realm.” It binds to the transmigrator Zhao Yan and activates when he swears a blood oath to “serve Ying Zheng faithfully and protect the Great Qin.”
