The Carefree Prisoner

[Ancient times to modern day + urban fantasy + historical mystery + romance + redemption] At the Xiaoyao Hall in the Nanbei Film Studio, Liu Yu, a look-alike actor, tumbles from the “dragon throne.” When he opens his eyes again, a cold glint of battlefields and warhorses surges in his gaze. He has become Liu Yu, the founding emperor of the Liu Song dynasty, from sixteen hundred years ago. The first person he sees is Zang Xiaoai, a history intern with the face of his late wife, Zang Aiqin. Thinking this is a reunion after a thousand years, he is brought back to reality by her words: “Teacher Liu, you’re too deep in character!” But Zang Xiaoai gradually realizes that something is wrong. The songs he unconsciously hums are lost melodies from the Southern Dynasties. The scar on his temple has exactly the same pattern as the crack in a newly unearthed jade seal bearing the name “Jinu”! Even stranger, every new moon and full moon, the sound of clashing metal rises from beneath Xiaoyao Hall. The film studio owner wants to demolish the hall and dig for treasure. Influencers want to sensationalize the image of a “mad emperor.” A mysterious organization is watching the “rebirth of Liu Yu” with keen interest... And Liu Yu grips a rusty iron sword dug up from beneath the “dragon throne” and roars at the livestream cameras closing in on him: “This is my realm!”
