I Had No Manners or Morals from the Start, and Ruled the 1980s

[Period setting] [Unhinged fiction] [Everyone’s a villain] [No golden finger] [Dark comedy] [Patriotic]

“Unhinged fiction” is the core of the story. The heroine doesn’t play by the rules (she has no manners or morals), creating a striking contrast against the oppressive backdrop of the eighties.

Su Diandian, an obnoxious college student from 2026, wakes up in 1980.

From the start, her stepmother tries to force her to marry a fool in exchange for a bride price.

Su Diandian’s answer: “If I have no morals, you can’t hold anything over me!”

She promptly bundles her stepmother off and sells her to an old widower in the mountains. With the money from selling her stepmother, she buys sunflower seeds at the state-run supply and marketing cooperative and sits down to watch the show.

When her stepsister tries to steal her factory job, Su Diandian grabs a megaphone and broadcasts her stepsister’s “love affairs” right outside the factory gates.
