Sunset Over the Forest

Twelve years ago, just as Lin Yu was about to escape from the research institute, an accident made the six-year-old watch his childhood friend Lin Lin ‘die’ before his eyes while protecting him. Twelve years later, he unexpectedly gets news of his closest friend at home, but every clue points to his enemy as the mastermind behind it all. Faced with his enemy’s brazen threats, what will he choose to do? This is an apocalyptic sci-fi novel with a fast-moving, tightly connected plot and a protagonist with special abilities. The backstory is long, so take your time: when a nearby planet was destroyed, it created a beautiful ring around Planet R, where the story takes place, much like Saturn’s. Scientists predicted that the ring’s rocky fragments would be pulled by the planet’s gravity, pass through the atmosphere, and fall as dust onto the surface. People called this highly radioactive dust “Gray Ash.” Humans eroded by Gray Ash would suffer atrophied limbs, twisted faces, and the loss of all five senses, eventually losing consciousness. To withstand its effects, people created a mutated life-form called the Rainbow Bee. Under human control, these creatures built hive after hive in the sky, forming artificial “barriers” to keep out the Gray Ash. But before long, things began to slip out of humanity’s control. The Rainbow Bees mutated into “Rainbow Flies,” no longer affected by Gray Ash and now a constant threat to human life. As the two protagonists venture forth, one old secret after another will surface, and one mystery after another will be solved. Their fates are beyond anyone’s control, and the choices they make will be crucial. The plot is full of twists and turns, so if you enjoy pure romance, come on in!
