The apocalypse descends, and evil gods devour the world.
When dark rifts tear open the sky and indescribable beings consume cities, humanity’s weapons prove pitifully ineffective. Huaxia launches its final ark project, “Kindling.” Offering the fate of the nation as a sacrifice, they summon “bearers of the flame” from parallel worlds across the river of time. Chen Fei is the seventh to be summoned.
Yet his “spark” is unlike any other.
While others awaken godlike powers capable of destroying the world, he gains a System called “Civilizational Bonds.” It grants no power directly. Instead, it binds an individual’s convictions closely to the fate of Huaxia. By forging deep emotional and blood ties, it gathers tiny flames into an everlasting blaze that can light the way through the apocalypse. Every heartfelt connection makes the flame of Huaxia’s civilization burn brighter.
His first bond is with a cool, aloof sword prodigy.
It isn’t born of romance. When she transfers the last of her spiritual energy to him in a desperate moment, she sees in his eyes the same resolve as her own: to fight to the death and never retreat, for the countless homes and families behind them. When their bond is forged, sword intent surges skyward in a pillar of light. The steel blades in the hands of every frontline soldier ring out, and their combat strength multiplies. Only then do they realize that this is no individual power, but the collective will of a civilization, blazing forth in its darkest hour.
From then on, Chen Fei becomes “a vessel of civilization.”
His mission is to forge the deepest strategic bonds with outstanding people who cherish their homeland and are willing to fight for the survival of their civilization.
