After His Defenses Crumble, the Untouchable Becomes a Tempting Demon

[Marriage first, love later + powerful couple who bicker + extreme double standards + groveling to win her back]

A case of mistaken identity leads He Tao to marry the aloof Dr. Qin in a whirlwind wedding.

Qin Su: “He Tao, my mom admitted it herself. Tell me, should I believe her or you?”

After the misunderstanding is cleared up, He Tao takes out her phone and plays a recording: “My mom admitted it herself…”

Qin Su admits his mistake without hesitation, his apology sincere. “I’m sorry.”

He Tao raises an eyebrow and curls her lip. “Oh, I don’t accept.” She plays the next recording of Qin Su being sharp-tongued.

After more than ten recordings and one final apology from Qin Su, He Tao finally says, “It’s okay.”

Qin Su is utterly dejected. He thinks the matter is over and hasn’t even had time to breathe a sigh of relief when He Tao brings out the evidence that caused the misunderstanding. “Now let’s talk about this.”

Qin Su: I’ve never lost this badly in my life! Fine! I refuse to believe I’ll keep losing!

At the company’s annual party, He Tao walks the red carpet arm in arm with a colleague, arranges a group dinner, and parties at a bar. Even though there’s a whole group of them, Qin Su sees it as a date for two and gets wildly jealous.

“He Tao, I hurt my hand. Could you change the dressing for me every day?” Qin Su asks pitifully, his eyes red.

What He Tao hears: Oh no! The chef’s hurt, so there’ll be nothing good to eat. Time to order takeout!

“He Tao, what do you think of my abs?” Qin Su lifts his shirt and leans in.

He Tao thinks: Amitabha! You seducer, I absolutely will not make the same mistake twice! I’ll stick to a vegetarian diet from now on, for the sake of good food!

Qin Su can’t take it anymore. If the soft approach won’t work, he’ll have to get tough!

The morning after, He Tao says, “Ahem! Well, we’re both adults, okay? I don’t mind. How about we add another clause to the contract?”

Qin Su tears up the contract on the spot!
