Eerie Descent: Vengeful Ghosts? That’s Just Renewable Energy

The paranormal returns, and horror games descend upon the world.

While other players tremble in dungeons and pray to every god they can think of,

Lin Que, a physics whiz and heir to the Tianji Sect, is staring at the red-clad female ghost in front of him, practically drooling.

“Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m no pervert.”

Lin Que pulls out a wrench and a welding torch, his expression solemn. “I just think her magnetic field is perfect for my new invention, the ‘quantum energy-gathering battery.’”

And so begins a livestream that takes a bizarre turn:

Encountering **[Sadako]**?

Lin Que: “Her hair has incredible tensile strength, and her resentful aura has top-notch cooling properties! Stuff it in an iron box and you’ve got an ‘eco-friendly, fully automatic air conditioner’! Link in the chat, folks!”

Encountering a **[thousand-year-old zombie]**?

Lin Que: “Bone density ten times that of titanium alloy? Great material! I’ll take it apart and turn it into ‘exoskeleton armor’: bulletproof, blastproof, and fall-proof!”

When the **[Ghost King]** leads a hundred ghosts on a night procession?

Lin Que whips out a Gatling gun covered in runes. “Namo Gatling Bodhisattva! Physical salvation treats all beings equally!”

When Lin Que blasts out of Earth aboard an “antigravity spaceship” refitted from a ten-thousand-year-old Ghost King,

the world’s special forces go mad: “Master, please, we beg you, stop showing off your powers!”

Lin Que pushes up his glasses. “Have faith in science. This is just basic aerodynamics.”
