Waking amid the fog of her memories, Chisaki recognizes only her own name and a dark ball she cannot open.
She settles in Viridian City in the Kanto region and becomes the youngest teacher at Quartz Academy. Day after day, she teaches her students, yet remains puzzled by her lost past and the secrets hidden inside the silent dark ball.
Her peaceful days end when Team Rocket suddenly sets its sights on her. Their target is clear: the ordinary yet loyal Shellder by her side.
The crisis turns the gears of her destiny, like a key unlocking a door.
To protect her partner and uncover the truth about her identity, Chisaki resolutely resigns from her teaching post and takes up the familiar yet unfamiliar dark ball. As a Trainer, she sets out into the Pokemon world, where the unknown awaits at every turn.
This is a journey to reclaim her memories and an adventure in which she must face the truth. When the final destination comes into view, she will discover that the past she lost is far more burdensome, and far more dazzling, than she ever imagined.
