Don't Mess with Him: That Foolish Prince Is a Little Too Terrifying

“If you all say I'm stupid, then I'll show you just how stupid I can be.” Transmigrated into the body of a foolish prince confined to the Cold Palace, Xiao Jingyan begins his performance with a bowl of deadly poisoned soup. He plays the fool, but sneaks out at night to investigate a dry well, where he finds a mysterious box left behind by his birth mother. At court, he's the “idiot” everyone can bully; in secret, he's the mastermind stirring up the political currents. He defeats his wicked older brother, dethrones the crown prince, and takes command of the empire's armies. When he finally wears the imperial robes, he looks down at his former enemies kneeling across the hall and chuckles. “So, who's the real fool now?” (Core themes: play the pig to eat the tiger + political scheming and revenge + a comeback from the brink, all-out satisfaction from start to finish)
