Siheyuan: System Activated, Qin Huairu Visits Me at Night

Ancient architecture restoration expert Su Chen transmigrates into the world of Love in the Courtyard, where he becomes a descendant of a renowned traditional doctor and awakens the Ancient Architecture Legacy System. Faced with his ancestral home, occupied by a pack of opportunists, and a web of tangled personal rivalries, he relies on long-lost mortise-and-tenon craftsmanship, traditional medical wisdom, and a vision far ahead of his time. Not only does he reclaim his family estate, he also transforms the dilapidated courtyard into a beacon for passing down traditional crafts.

From clearing illegal constructions and opening a free clinic to founding a mutual-aid cooperative; from restoring Ming and Qing-era drainage systems to developing military-grade radiators, he leads everyone in the courtyard, young and old, in holding fast to their craftsmanship through turbulent times. He turns traditional skills into a celebrated Chinese export. When the tide of reform and opening-up surges in, Su Chen has already mastered the secrets of crafts passed down for millennia. Standing at the forefront of a new era, he vows to make the courtyard's gray tiles and blue bricks reflect the revival of a nation's dedication to craftsmanship.
