Overhearing Their Thoughts, Ancestor Shi Qilin Leads His Whole Clan to Lie Flat

Bad news: I've transmigrated into Honghuang and become a cannon-fodder Qilin in the Dragon and Han Calamity!

Good news: I've awakened a Layabout System. All I have to do is lie flat to prove the Dao and become a Sage!

Lin Yun transmigrates to Honghuang. Knowing that the war between the three clans is Hongjun's scheme, he decides to hole up on Qilin Cliff, eat his fill, and wait to die!

Who knew the Ancestral Qilin could hear his thoughts? The plot goes completely off the rails

The Ancestral Qilin asks, “The Dragon Clan has invited us to join forces and wipe out the Phoenix Clan. What do you all think?”

The other ancestors reply, “We fight! We'll unify Honghuang!”

Lin Yun grumbles internally: [Fight my ass! That old mudfish Zulong is using you as cannon fodder! Hongjun is sharpening his knives behind the scenes. Anyone who goes is dead!]

The next second, the Ancestral Qilin slams the table and declares, “Pass down my order! The whole clan is sealing off the mountain! Everyone go home and sleep!”

Lin Yun: “???”

But the Ancestral Qilin doesn't just defy expectations. He also promotes Lin Yun, who only wants to slack off, to a lofty position:

“Spirit Qilin, hear my command! I grant you a top-grade innate spiritual treasure and authority over the entire clan's finances!”

“What? You want to run away to the Western Sea? I'll betroth the princess to you. Give this emperor a whole litter of little Qilins!”

Tens of millions of years later, the Dragon and Phoenix Clans are locked in a battle that leaves corpses strewn across the land, and Honghuang lies in ruins.

Hongjun appears with the Jade Disc of Creation in hand, utterly dumbfounded:

“Weren't all three clans supposed to perish together?”

“How come every member of the Qilin Clan is a Quasi-Sage, and they all have an innate supreme treasure?!”
