Prince of Tennis: I’m Mifune’s Disciple, and I Quit Qing From the Start

My new work is here! You're welcome to read it on Tomato Novel. I hope you'll enjoy it. Your support motivates me to write, and I'll do my best to tell every story well!

Sun Song is an ordinary corporate drone who has struck out both at work and in love. By chance, he transmigrates into the world of Prince of Tennis, becoming a first-year student at Seishun Academy who shares his name, has a timid personality and mediocre tennis skills, and is being bullied by his seniors. Even more astonishingly, he inherits the legacy of Mifune Nyudo, the legendary “Gatekeeper of Hell,” and awakens the “Fortune Smiles Upon Me” System. It can turn the “luck” and “powers of observation” that were insignificant in his old world into an incredible ability to read the court and guide “coincidences” in his favor. But when he eagerly joins the Seishun Academy tennis club, ready to show what he can do, vice-captain Oishi Shuichiro invokes “tradition” to tell him that first-years can only pick up balls and clean the court. They're forbidden from touching a racket or trying out for the regular lineup. Faced with this rigid seniority system and the disdain for his abilities, Sun Song's modern soul, well versed in the principle that “if one door closes, another opens,” makes a choice utterly unlike the original owner's.

The Seishun Academy tennis club leadership, represented by vice-captain Oishi Shuichiro and some of the upperclassmen on the regular lineup, clings to the tradition that “first-years can only pick up balls,” directly obstructing the protagonist's path in tennis. If he gives in, he'll waste a whole golden year, become a complete nobody, fail to fulfill the mission passed down by Mifune, and be unable to change the original owner's fate of being bullied and looked down upon.
