Tracking Prey in the Snowy Mountains: A Youth in the Wilderness

In the fervent years when educated youth were sent to the countryside, Chen Yuanfan was assigned by force to the remote foothills of Changbai Mountain because of his family background. Faced with frozen earth, hunger, and rejection from the villagers, surviving became a brutal daily trial.

A terrifying legend about “Ghost Valley” was passed around the village: anyone who entered that snowy range would vanish without a trace, leaving behind only the eerie howling of hunting dogs. Then, shortly before his death, an old hunter revealed that the valley concealed a “ghost warehouse” left behind by the invading Japanese army, along with a horrific incident omitted from the history books.

Chen Yuanfan believed in neither ghosts nor gods, only the rifle in his hands and the land beneath his feet. To stay alive, he resolutely entered the forbidden zone, becoming the first educated youth hunter to conquer Ghost Valley. From tracking lone wolves across the snowy plains to uncovering the bloody truth hidden in the mists of history, his hunt was a struggle not only against nature but also against human nature.

This is a wilderness epic blending extreme survival, deep-mountain hunting, historical mysteries, and moral choices. Beneath the bleak ice and snow, the blood still runs hot.
