I’ve read so many sky screen stories lately. They’re really well written, but there’s way too much unofficial history in them. Almost every book mentions Chunyu Yue as Fusu’s tutor, Liu Che being called “Little Pig,” and the stories about Zhao Da and Zhao Er, the axe sounds and candle shadows. Unofficial history is fine, but could the authors at least debunk it afterward? It really takes me out of the story.
