Hong Kong Films: Zu Xian Forces Me to Become a Rebel from the Start

Huo Dongyao transmigrates into an ’80s Hong Kong crime-action world and wakes up in Zu Xian’s bedroom from the start. Zu Xian: “Kill your boss, or I’ll tell him you tried to take advantage of me!” On one side is his good-for-nothing boss; on the other is his gorgeous sister-in-law, who looks just like Zu Xian. There’s no need to think twice. The choice is obvious. He awakens the Backstabber System, which rewards him whenever he turns against someone. Using the population of Kowloon Walled City as his foundation, he starts the Yao Labor Company, offers muscle for hire under the Yao name, and brings every street gang in Hong Kong under his control. Every gangster in Hong Kong must obey his orders. He summons a whole roster of crime queens, including Tang Yuwen, Xiao A Qiao, and Zhuye Qing, launches a massive recruitment drive, and rules the world with one hand in the underworld and the other in legitimate business. “You used to call me a backstabber, and I never held it against you.” “So what do you call me now, huh?” One boss and sister-in-law after another is sacrificed. Huo Dongyao plants his feet on Hong Kong Island and stands atop the hills. On Hong Kong Island, you might not know the governor, but you have to know Mr. Huo.
