Serving My Country Since Age Three: Handcrafting Weapons Stuns the Compound

Lin Mo, a top mechanical engineer of the 21st century, wakes up to find herself in the body of a three-year-old toddler crying to be fed in the 1980s.

In an era when even a screw is considered a luxury, she looks at the rusty tractor at home and the only battered radio in the village, kicking her legs in frustration. What a waste of perfectly good machinery!

And so, a peculiar little darling appears in the military compound. While the other kids play in the dirt, she takes apart watches. While they play hide-and-seek, she uses her dad's toolbox to "do research and development."

Then one day, she accidentally wanders into the military region's most secretive weapons research institute. Pointing at a model of the latest fighter jet, she says in her baby voice, "Uncle, there's a flaw in your aerodynamic design."

The entire institute falls silent.

At first, everyone thinks she's just the impossibly cute mascot of a military commander. But later, from a homemade encrypted communicator to a prototype of a powered exoskeleton, she drives the whole military region wild.

The cold-faced Major Lu Chen, hailed as the most untouchable beauty in the military region, always wears a stern expression as he plucks her out of piles of machinery. "Lin Mo, you're a girl. Stay away from those hunks of iron." But his reddening ears give him away.

Years later, Lin Mo, now a graceful young woman, slaps a set of "next-generation powered combat armor blueprints" onto his desk and grins like a little fox. "Brother Lu Chen, I'm all grown up now. So... can I touch your 'hunk of iron'?"
