Haunted House Sleep Test: I Turned Around and Gave the Evil Ghost a F

Other people catch ghosts with talismans. I catch them with the Delete key.

After three years out of work and 300,000 yuan in debt, Chen Yu was so broke he couldn't even afford to drink the broth from his instant noodles.

With nowhere else to turn, he took a high-risk gig testing out a supposedly haunted house. He meant to risk his life for the money, but unexpectedly awakened the Eye of Data, which let him see the underlying data of all things.

In his eyes, the world had no ghosts or gods, only strings of code running into errors.

Vengeful ghosts claiming lives? Just malicious programs. Hit Delete!

Deadly feng shui traps? Logical infinite loops. Just rewrite the code!

Fortune-telling and face reading? Big data predictions, accurate to 99.99%!

In the livestream chat:

“Streamer, why did that woman in red stop moving?”

Chen Yu: “Oh, her parameters were such a mess, so I formatted her.”

“Streamer, there's no way to break this feng shui formation!”

Chen Yu: “No big deal. Just change a variable.”

From then on, the world of the occult gained a monster who knew nothing but coding.

Other masters: “By the power of the law, obey!”

Chen Yu: “Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Shadow Clone Jutsu!”

Chen Yu: “Don't talk to me about karma and retribution. I only care about the transfer receipt.”
