Li Letian is the son of the owner of a general store in a border town of one of the Six Kingdoms. A chance encounter with the Daoist Miaoyu draws him into a storm involving the fate of the kingdoms and mysterious supernatural forces. After gathering a team of companions, he catches demons and solves puzzles, exposes the schemes of Qian Duofu, a corrupt official of the Six Kingdoms, and navigates complicated romantic entanglements and deepening bonds among the team. Together, they face border crises, palace intrigue, secret-realm expeditions, and unsolved cases, using humor and wit to overcome danger and grow as individuals. As power struggles and demonic disturbances gradually come to light, the five ultimately unite to quell the turmoil across the Six Kingdoms, finding growth and friendship along the way.
