Zhen Huan Rules the Realm

When she opened her eyes again, warmth greeted her. Meizhuang smiled and took her to the selection, with none of the deathly silence of the mourning hall and coffin. The hatred she carried from her previous life burned hot in her eyes: Sister Mei had died horribly, Prince Guo had drunk poison, and treacherous villains had ruled the day. She had shed her youthful innocence, her eyes glinting coldly as she declared, word by word, “Sister Mei, in this life I’ll keep you safe, cut down every treacherous villain, tear down this man-eating harem, and secure the peace of the Qing Empire!” Before she could finish speaking, a matron’s call urged her onward. The vermilion palace walls stood before her, and her revenge and new life began.
