The First Slacker of Zhenguan

A modern-day slacker transmigrates into the first playboy of the Zhenguan era, owing 300 strings of cash from the start. If he can't pay it back in three days, he'll be sold off to work in the mines.

Fang Jun plans to make soap and perfume on the sly and get rich quietly, living the lie-flat life of an idle fish. But before he knows it, his business has become a “strategic supplier to the Tang Dynasty.”

The empress wears his perfume, generals wear clothes washed with his soap, and Turkic spies get caught out by his compressed military rations.

When noblewomen from the Five Great Clans, prodigies of the Daoist sect, and foreign princesses start showing up at his door one after another, Li Shimin claps him on the shoulder and says, “Fang, it's time to serve the court…”

Looking at his ever-expanding business empire, Fang Jun feels like crying:

“Your Majesty, I really just wanted to lie flat and make a little money!”

This idle fish, forced into the business, will ultimately make the entire Zhenguan era take on a shape he never intended.
