The Forger

In the tangled urban shadows of Binjiang City, Lin Xiaodao, a young man from the bottom of society, is forced to become a “special consultant” to the criminal investigation squad. Raised on the streets, he knows how to read people and navigate the rules of the underworld, but he is dragged into one bizarre crime after another: ritualistic serial thefts, a perfect murder concealed for years, online mysteries, and international smuggling. Behind every case lie the depths of human nature and the currents of hidden interests.

With his unconventional thinking and streetwise ingenuity, Lin Xiaodao cracks strange cases time and again, but each victory pulls him deeper into the vortex. He must navigate between police procedure and underworld tactics, lock horns with elite detective Zhou Haoming, fend off the relentless pressure of the old fox Tang Dacheng, and contend with a mastermind who sees him as a thorn in his side.

This is a contest between light and darkness, and a thorny path with no turning back. Lin Xiaodao must uncover the most deeply buried truths by the most “unconventional” means, even if it means becoming everyone’s “enemy.”
