The Tortoise-Like God of War and His Fish-Like CEO’s Darling

Other people spend money raising pets. Lu Ying raises pets and ends up with two nonhuman boyfriends. Contestant No. 1: Su He. His true form is a hundred-year-old tortoise, while his human form is a gentle, devoted husband and battle god. He can wipe out a gang to keep her safe, then put on an apron and simmer soup while waiting for her to come home. The hideous scars on his back are a mark of loyalty meant just for her. Contestant No. 2: Shen Yang. His true form is a deep-sea mermaid, while his human form is a domineering, icy executive. His catchphrase is, “I’ll take care of all your troubles,” and he proves it by buying out her company to take on her client. The scales glowing behind his ears are the only sign that her presence has sent his heart racing. From then on, Lu Ying’s daily life becomes one big battlefield for love: Su He warms up the soup. “Seafood is too cooling. Drink this instead.” Shen Yang has lobster flown in. “I sent it. You have to eat it.” When gangsters attack, the two shield her from either side and say in unison, “Don’t touch her!” When she is forced to make a choice at an abandoned pier One offers her a tortoiseshell bracelet. “I want to spend a peaceful life with you, with sunflowers all around us.” The other offers her his entire fortune. “My deep sea and my empire are yours to share.” So, will she choose the “home” of gentle protection, or the “whole world” of bold devotion?
