Synopsis

[Two male leads] + [two top students] + [childhood friends] + [school life] + [sweet romance] + [exclusive devotion] + [comedy] + [coming of age] + [million-word epic] It begins with cicadas singing in high summer and ends six years later with their song once again. After they reunite in middle school, Chen Yang becomes Lin Hai's most reliable protector, helping him through little schoolyard dramas, keeping him safe from life's minor mishaps, and making “walking side by side” part of their everyday lives. From middle school through high school, their bond grows ever deeper as they spend their days together. Chen Yang is used to being Lin Hai's rock, hoping their youthful friendship can stay pure forever. In the high summer of senior year, six years later, the cicadas sing again. Now grown, Lin Hai pats Chen Yang on the shoulder with a smile. “Bro, these past six years have been so much better with you around. Let's keep walking together from now on, too.” Chen Yang smiles and agrees. The two young men stand side by side amid the cicadas' song, the wind passing through the treetops, as a long scroll of youth unfolds before them.

Looking for BL!!!

I dislike ancient settings (but cultivation in an ancient setting is fine), the entertainment industry, beast worlds, and one-man-many-women romances.

Sweet, Everyday School Life Between Two Guys

Looking for books similar to Boys' Dormitory 303. Something like the relationship between A Fei and Old Yan in that comic. I really love the top student x underachiever dynamic. Campus setting preferred.
