(Gender-bender romance + two equally powerful leads)
After transmigrating into the female sect leader of the Xuanchan Sect, Lin Che gazed at her stunning reflection in the mirror, then touched the Illusion-Revealing Pill at her heart, whose effects were fading. All she wanted to do was curse.
Born with the extremely yin Xuanchan body, she was a coveted cultivation cauldron for everyone in the cultivation world. She had to deal with a sect in disarray, conservative elders holding her back from within, and the Righteous Alliance watching her like a hawk from without.
To make matters worse, her modern soul had to wear the original owner's body and pose as a cold, ascetic sect master while navigating a treacherous game of power.
That was until Yun Chen, the aloof and otherworldly Venerable Immortal of Ziyang, came to her door. His eyes darkened, as if he saw through every disguise she wore. "Yue Liuli, I'll keep your secret for you."
They explored secret realms, uncovered the truth in an ice coffin, and were swept up in obsessions from a past life. As their spiritual powers merged and their souls resonated, two rebellious spirits embraced in the face of fate.
When the Illusion-Revealing Pill wore off and her identity was exposed, just as the crisis of the Age of Declining Magic swept in, Lin Che clasped Yun Chen's hand, her gaze resolute.
"What Xuanchan body? What sect responsibilities? I'll use my modern wisdom to break Heaven's design and carve out a path of my own!"
