High school student Zhang Feng happens upon a mysterious bracelet. Hidden inside is a remnant of the soul of Du Yu, a Golden Immortal. Defeated in a war between realms, Du Yu survived only as a remnant soul, with remnants of the spatial treasures from his past life. Under the name “System,” he strikes a deal with Zhang Feng: he will provide various cultivation resources from within the bracelet to help Zhang Feng embark on the path of cultivation, and Zhang Feng must promise to take him to the Immortal Realm and restore his body.
With the cultivation resources in the bracelet, Zhang Feng grows rapidly. He also shares his secret with his close friend Zheng Wen and the school beauty Mu Qingcheng. The three travel together, enduring trial after trial in the mortal world, resolving karmic entanglements and advancing their cultivation side by side. After ascending to the Immortal Realm, Zhang Feng keeps his promise and helps Du Yu restore his body. At last, Du Yu can face the enemies of his past life and settle the old scores left over from the war between realms.
