Mountain Pact: Our Shadows Were Put Up as Collateral

To escape the pressures of city life, seven people follow their group leader deep into the mountains. At first, the stream washes away their fatigue, and the campfire warms their hearts. Then, deep inside a cave, I see my own shadow standing still in the beam of my flashlight, waving goodbye to me. After we come back down the mountain, our anxiety vanishes. We feel “calm,” and our efficiency is astounding. But the person in the mirror has begun to wear a strange smile. Only then do we realize: the mountain didn’t take our stress. It took the “negatives” of our souls. Worse still, the deadline on our collateral is approaching. The shadows on the walls have already begun imitating their owners’ movements... They want to come back.
