Claiming the Throne at the End of Qin

Qin Shuang, a top student in the history department at Huaxia University, is accidentally electrocuted while studying Qin bamboo slips all night. His soul transmigrates to the final years of the Qin dynasty, where he becomes a Great Wall garrison soldier awaiting execution. By then, the uprising at Daze Village has already begun. The realm is in chaos, warlords vie for supremacy, and the Qin Empire is on the verge of collapse.

Faced with certain death for “missing the deadline,” Qin Shuang draws on a thousand years of historical knowledge and a modern mindset to survive. He wins people over and seizes military power through cunning, establishing the disciplined and well-equipped Northern Pacification Army amid the chaos. He neither follows the tyrannical Qin nor submits to the feudal lords. Instead, caught between the rivalries of Chu and Han, he carves out a path to the throne that is entirely his own.

He secretly helps Xiang Yu burn his boats and defeat the Qin at Julu, then matches wits with Liu Bang at the Feast at Hong Gate. He recruits peerless talents such as Han Xin, Chen Ping, and Zhang Liang, and meets confidantes like Su Ling, a woman physician, and Xiang Yun, a female general. He strikes north against the Xiongnu, expanding the frontier by a thousand li, and campaigns south against the Baiyue, uniting countless peoples. He abolishes harsh laws, lightens corvee labor and taxes, and, guided by the principle that “the people are the foundation of the state,” brings an end to five hundred years of warfare.

This is an epic tale of survival, war, political intrigue, and love. Witness how a modern soul takes the reins of an ancient chariot, sweeps across the four corners of the realm in the chaos of the late Qin, reforges the Nine Tripods of Huaxia, and ushers in an unprecedented Golden Age of Eternal Prosperity!
