I’ll Use Myself as Bait: Mr. Gu, Step into My Trap

Everyone online knows I'm top-tier star Gu Huaixi's “personal blood bag.” I'm a minor actress with only one thing going for me: a face just like his first love's. When his first love went abroad to study, Gu Huaixi signed me to a contract and made me his “fake girlfriend” for three years.

Clause One: Never forget, you're only Xu Qingqian's stand-in.

Clause Two: Outside of work, you may not come within ten meters of me.

Clause Three: Never fall in love with me.

I signed, smiling obediently and humbly. Everyone thought I was hopelessly in love with Gu Huaixi and would do anything to stay by his side. No one knew Xu Qingqian was my older sister, born to the same mother but a different father. The last thing she said to me before leaving the country was, “Xingwan, keep an eye on him for me. Don't let some flashy hussy trick him.”

And Gu Huaixi's company belongs to the Lu family, the very people who drove my family to bankruptcy and my father to jump to his death.

So, wearing the title of “Gu Huaixi's girlfriend,” I play the devoted doormat. Whenever he shows the slightest warmth, I act overwhelmed by his favor, satisfying his desire for control. At the same time, I use the resources and connections he gives me to secretly investigate the Lu Group's dirty secrets. He thinks I'm a dependent vine, but I see him as the sharpest blade in my pursuit of revenge.
