Bloodline Inheritance and a Brand-New Journey

Six years after BA Black Pineapple left the KPL, it returned under the new name JDG Thunderstorm. Led by God of War Jian, the team wrote a new chapter in its "Charge into the KPL" story, proving its strength by finishing second.

Over the years, its spirit has been scattered across Yinuo's flanking plays, SK's drafts, and the ever-studied "Iron Bucket Formation" strategy, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the KPL.

Meanwhile, SK himself, the championship-winning coach with countless ties to BA, is at the other end of the league, leading another team and continuing his legend. This development may seem to follow separate paths, but in truth they share the same roots. That is the charm of the KPL as a mature esports league: no one ever truly leaves. They simply return in different forms and begin anew.

JDG Thunder's 2024 season has already shown that when the right spot, forward-looking investors, professional coaches, and players eager to prove themselves come together, even a "new" name can carve out its own chapter in the KPL's history. And that may be the most precious legacy BA Black Pineapple left to the KPL.
