In 2025, in the deserts of China's northwest, a joint archaeological expedition unearthed the legendary treasure of the Yellow Emperor's era, the Xuanyuan Sundial. When the ancient timekeeping device saw daylight again, it triggered a temporal turbulence that swept two teams at the site into the river of time:
Yuan Yu, commander of China's Dragon Blade special forces, is the army-wide combat champion and an expert in ancient and modern warfare. Yet he is haunted by his failure to save a comrade three years ago.
Bai Yuhan, a historical crisis analyst for the National Security Bureau, is an archaeological prodigy capable of deciphering oracle bone script. Her family has guarded the secret of the Nvwa Stone for generations.
The two transmigrate to the plains of Zhuolu in 2600 BCE, where they witness the epic battle between the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou firsthand. More shocking still, the expedition team of the international secret organization the Chronos Foundation has traveled through time with them. These time thieves, armed with advanced technology, intend to alter the very origins of Chinese civilization and snuff out five thousand years of history before it can begin.
