The Blade of Longcheng

Binhai City is a modern metropolis ablaze with neon, yet beneath its surface lies a surging tide of covert activity by the foreign intelligence organization known as Viper. Long Yu, commander of a special operations unit, carries the scars of past counterterrorism missions along the border. With the Blade special operations unit as his shield, he protects the city’s military and intelligence security. Bai Yuhan, an intelligence analyst with the Ministry of State Security, trained under a veteran state security officer. Her meticulous mind and keen insight make her a sharp blade that can cut through the darkness.

The two reunite during a joint operation to capture a foreign intelligence broker. A fleeting encounter at the National University of Defense Technology seven years earlier becomes an unspoken understanding as they fight side by side on missions filled with gunfire. From covert surveillance in the financial district, to close combat at a secondhand market, and then a daring raid on an abandoned factory, they gradually dismantle Viper’s intelligence network in Binhai City. But its mastermind, Scorpion, escapes with vital intelligence on a military exercise and even plots a bomb attack at Binhai Port.

With duty to country and family foremost, matters of the heart come second. Through one life-or-death trial after another, Long Yu and Bai Yuhan must not only engage foreign forces in the ultimate contest of wits and strength, protecting the nation’s military secrets and the city’s security, but also let the feelings buried deep within them quietly grow amid the intertwining gunfire and neon. As their blades are drawn above Longcheng, loyalty forms their backbone and love gives them wings. Together, they write a story of the steely resolve and tender devotion of Chinese soldiers.
