The Book of Rain Colors

At fifteen, Shen Jinghong only wished to spend her life as an idle wanderer, free as a cloud.

One rainy night, while brewing tea, she is swept into the currents of court intrigue and the bustle of everyday life.

With her "Three Grades and Nine Rules" tax policy, she brings peace to Jiangnan; with a poem inscribed on a lotus-dew inkstone, she stuns the capital.

The breeze stirred by a swing ripples the heart of a young prince;

the fragrance of wine simmered with green plums saves the life of an iron-blooded chief minister.

From the inner quarters to the court, from the martial world to the borderlands, she turns beauty into strength and gives kindness teeth.

Later, when spring rain falls once more over Jinling, everyone remembers these words:

"A fleeting shadow of beauty, sharing distant horizons with the realm."
