Fleeing Famine into the Mountains, My Ex-General Husband Begs to Get Back Together

(Transmigration + rebirth + fleeing famine + a three-way standoff + warmth) Jiang Taohua is reborn, but of all places, she wakes up on the road as people flee a famine during a severe drought. Things are bad enough already, but then she nearly gets “stewed into soup.” And that’s not even the worst of it!

The savior who appears out of nowhere turns out to be her husband, Gu Zhou, who died in battle ten years ago!

When she tries to claim him as her husband on the spot, he thinks she has ulterior motives!

To stay alive, Jiang Taohua decides that anyone who wants to flee can go ahead. She takes her family to the supposedly safe Seven Star Mountain to survive, only for disaster to strike: the bandit chief Mo Bai abducts her and takes her up the mountain!

Just as her “late husband,” Gu Zhou, comes up the mountain to rescue her and take her back to the village, before she can enjoy even a single day of peace, a “fiancee” shows up to steal her husband?

Two women fighting over one man?

Jiang Taohua: Whoever wants him can go ahead and fight for him. She can’t be bothered.

She plunges straight into the forbidden depths of Seven Star Mountain and relies on her own skills to survive.

Gu Zhou comes up the mountain to beg for forgiveness. “Taoniang, come home with me.”

Mo Bai isn’t having it. “You’re not getting her. Go cool your heels somewhere else.”

Watching the two men square off, she leans against the newly built heated bed and cracks sunflower seeds. “You two fight first. I’ll think about it after I see who wins.”

Gu Zhou and Mo Bai: “Which one of us do you want dead?”

Jiang Taohua gives an awkward laugh. “First things first, I’m making a run for it!”

P.S. Someone will have to pay dearly while pursuing his wife.
