Two volumes: Volume One, Slaying the Gods; Volume Two, Playing the God. Apologies for any out-of-character moments. Fan fiction.
Volume One
What would happen if a max-level expert were reincarnated without her memories and had to start over?
Would she stomp on the Outer Gods and mock them for being trash, or choose to give up and live out the rest of her days like a lazy fish?
An oddball who doesn't care about her own circumstances still thinks of her family, grits her teeth, and endures the miserable years of student life.
Then, after all that, she's told that the Outer Gods have their sights set on her country, and she could die at any moment.
Her: Whatever. Whether I die sooner or later, I die either way.
But what if your family could be targeted in retaliation?
Her: Damn it, I *@##@:%¥_%¥.
Fine! So it's just a fight. It's not like I'm the only one with freakish talent stats.
The oddball who fears no death pauses for the sake of her family. The wind stills, and time itself stops.
For all that, her dream is simply to live long enough to retire and enjoy her later years with her mother.
Wang Mian pairing. The protagonist grows over time and is somewhat prone to avoiding reality.
Volume Two: The God of Plays Arc
Male protagonist, no romance, somewhat of a power fantasy. Out-of-character warning.
People who pursue an education after a turbulent era are useless.
Yin Danggui really did become a pathetic college student, bullied on campus. He had once thought about fixing his situation, but the biggest obstacle was that he had no money. He was broke.
So one dark and windy night, he raided the Ancient Theater Vault and found the Red King.
“Boss, are you hiring?”
The Red King: “?”
And so, in the end, Yin Danggui became an external employee of the Dusk Society, earning twenty thousand a month.
Yin Danggui: Hehe, I'm rich now.
