I read it in one go and it was so powerful. This is not a simple escape from the doomsday, but a process that completely breaks and tempers a person from the inside out, and then makes him drag the wreckage on the snowy field to learn to "be a human being" again. Every choice Zhao San makes is like cutting his own soul on the tip of a knife. Especially when I saw the part about "fighting poison with poison" in "Ghost Sees Sorrow", it made my scalp numb with pain. In the end, his back walked towards the depths of the old forest, which made me feel that he was not looking for a way out, but to make a break with this man-eating land and the curse in his own blood. It was so cruel and so lonely.

The writing is beautiful and the emotions are real. It is a good novel.
