It is an excellent book. Although it is a bit exaggerated in terms of upgrading combat power, its spiritual core moved me. He vividly put the word "world of mortals" in front of me. From the beginning of the book for the sake of merit, to the later out of his heart to punish evil and promote good, he wrote a good book about what it means to be a seeker.
A very thoughtful book. I think the merit system can be retired. At least the author will probably write out the power of his own system later, otherwise it will be no different from Dragon Ball.
