The Four Mischievous Monkeys Slay the Heavenly Dao

As chaos divided and the Heavenly Dao established order, it regarded all things as pieces on a chessboard. Four innate, indestructible spiritual lights were banished to the wilds for having no place in its “perfect order,” and became the Four Monkeys of Chaos.

The stone monkey was rebellious, breaking free of stone to question Heaven, unwilling to be a pawn.

The blood ape was profound, sinking through a sea of karma and seeing through fate.

The long-armed ape reached for the sky, seeking the Dao through strength and yearning to shatter its chains.

The six-eared macaque listened in secret, saw through mysteries, and knew the secrets of Heaven.

They were marked anomalies, errors that had to be erased from the Heavenly Dao's blueprint. From fighting alone to meeting through fate, from struggling in confusion to understanding themselves, they came to realize that their very existence was the greatest rebellion against this cold order.

When the gods and Buddhas fell silent and all beings bowed their heads, the Four Monkeys rose into the world. They would not endure tribulations, accept their fate, seek immortality, or worship Buddha.

This time, wherever their staffs pointed, there stood the Heavenly Dao.

If fate forbids it, then they will overturn the board and sever the Dao!
