I Transmigrated to the Great Ming, Only to Find Chongzhen Is My Nephew

When Ling Yun awoke, he saw a line of blood-red text hovering above Emperor Chongzhen's head:

[Zhu Youjian, Fortune: -999, ruler of a fallen dynasty, near death]

The digits looked like congealed blood, pulsing faintly in the dim bedchamber.

“Imperial Uncle, you're finally awake.”

The young man in imperial robes knelt beside the bed, eyes red and voice hoarse. “They forced Wei Zhongxian to his death, claiming to be incorruptible, yet they are even greedier than the eunuch faction. The treasury is empty, and the soldiers in Liaodong haven't been paid in three months. Three days ago, I wanted to divert three million taels in tax revenue to meet the emergency. The Minister of Revenue said it was for disaster relief, but in Shaanxi, not a single crop has been harvested, and people are eating their own children to survive.”

He grasped Ling Yun's hand, his knuckles turning white. “Imperial Uncle, I can't hold on any longer.”
