A Green Monument on the Saihanba Wasteland

This is a forestry epic about faith and perseverance. Lin Yan, a young scholar from the 21st century, is reborn as Yan Huaixun in Yan'an in 1936. With his passion for modern forestry history and an extraordinary memory, he is raised by members of the Communist Party and grows up devoted and steadfast. From the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University in Yan'an to the Forestry College in Beijing, he studies tirelessly, determined to combat desertification and plant trees. In 1962, he heads to Saihanba as chief of the technical department, joining the characters in the story to battle the sandstorms. This is not just one man's journey, but a stirring chapter in which a generation writes a green legend with their youth and blood.
