Double Track Fanfic: The Secretly Thrilled Guy Is Acting Strange

When I was approached at the Bangkok airport, the person I lived with, who was supposedly “down on his luck,” suddenly appeared and yanked me behind him.

With a stony expression and not a word, he bundled me onto the back of his motorcycle and took me to his tiny rented room.

There was only one bed. “You sleep there.” He tossed me the blanket and made a bed on the floor for himself.

But the next day, I came down with a fever. Half-conscious, I felt him press his forehead against mine to check my temperature, his breath so close.

After the fever broke, I noticed he kept avoiding my gaze.

Then, on his old phone, I found a candid side-profile photo of me from seven years ago. The screen was cracked, but the photo had been carefully preserved.

Jin Chao, have you really thought of me as nothing but a little sister all these years?
