The Eastern Han's Greatest Strategist

My name is Liu Heng. I was born in the dying days of the Western Han and raised in the court of Wang Mang's Xin dynasty. The world sees only that I have earned Wang Mang's trust, offered strategies for reform, and risen to a seat at the heart of the new regime. What they do not know is that I hold another vision of the realm in my heart, secretly working with Liu Xiu, who is still an obscure nobody, to help him gather a spark into a flame. At court, I am a newly risen power broker whose thoughts are impossible to read. Behind the curtains, I am one of the earliest founders of the Eastern Han imperial dynasty. I walk the most dangerous tightrope in the realm, balancing two forces powerful enough to crush me. Harder still are the eyes that see through every one of my secrets. She may be a princess of the new dynasty or a heroine of the Green Forest. Love and hate, country and family, are all tangled together, making every breath feel like a step across a blade's edge. This is not a story of simple good and evil. It is a legend of compromise, betrayal, and protection. Watch as a lone minister makes his moves in a game he is destined to lose, wagering everything for the realm and for one person, hoping to gamble his way to a brand-new dawn.
