Heart of the Swarm: A Plan to Raise an Apocalypse Queen

[No saintly heroine + ruthless decisiveness + insect hordes + building a faction]

I wake up to find I’ve become the Overlord of the Zerg.

From the start, I have three bugs, and all my resources come from devouring.

Others survive by scavenging, hiding from zombies, and begging for handouts.

I survive by spreading creep, hatching Hydralisks, and using Ultralisks to demolish buildings.

Others build bases with wooden fences and earthen walls, only to have them breached in three days.

I build bases with spine crawler formations, lurkers, and a network of underground hives.

Others recruit underlings who need to be fed, demand a share of power, and may betray them at any moment.

I recruit underlings through Zerg infestation and psionic links, ensuring absolute loyalty.

Then one day, the so-called “savior of humanity” arrives at my gates with a massive army, demanding that I hand over my hive technology.

I smile.

Then I point behind them.

In the sky, a swarm of mutalisks beats its wings with a thunderous roar. On the ground, Ultralisks charge with earth-shaking force. Beneath the earth, a Nydus Worm bursts through the soil with its gaping maw.

“Welcome to my Zerg era.”
