Watered-Down Granny Meng's Soup: My Forced Labor in the Underworld

My grandpa, Chen Banxian, is a real crook!

Other people drink Meng Po Soup, forget everything, and get reincarnated. Me? He had a ghost woman trick me into the underworld, where I drank a bowl of "watered-down Meng Po Soup." I kept my memories but lost my body, and ended up as a forced laborer repairing the bridge to the afterlife!

"Carry Dark Yin Stones to patch the cracks. If you're not done by nightfall, we'll toss you into the River of Forgetfulness to feed the fish!"

I was cursing my shameless grandpa when a "ding" rang in my head, and a System popped up: [Repair bridges to earn Yin Power, investigate cases to accumulate merit, and take down the villains to get promoted!]

That's when I finally caught on: my half-soul constitution lets me wield Yin-Yang power, the watered-down soup left me a life-saving trump card, and even the System can only be understood with my half-baked aura-reading skills...

So my grandpa wasn't screwing me over after all? He'd set up a whole "underworld comeback story" for me, so I could climb from bridge-repairing laborer to a big shot in the Yin-Yang world!

Still... "Clerk Wang Er, could you not deduct this month's wages for the wine my grandpa owes Judge Cui? I just want to trade up to a pair of straw sandals that don't rub my feet (┯_┯)"
