This is no ethereal world of immortals, but a bloody, oppressive place rife with folk taboos: ill-omened encounters between wedding and funeral processions, borrowing years from the dead, human-skin drums, and more.
Stitching together corpses torn apart by demons is a dangerous, menial occupation. The corpses are tainted with baleful energy, and workers in the trade usually last no more than three years.
