My Mom Says I'm Pretty Good at Putting on an Act

I had just paid the hospital bill and returned to the ward when I heard my mother say, "You really know how to put on an act."

I looked at her in surprise, unsure what she meant.

Then she said, "You may be looking after me in the hospital, but the medical bills are coming out of my money.

All you're doing is putting in a little effort, and you get to earn yourself a reputation as a devoted child."

I laughed.

Then I turned around and called my older brother and younger brother, telling them to come take care of Mom.

While my mother watched in astonishment, I quickly packed my things and went home.
