Green Jade Returns to Yellow 2

Jade Returns to Yellow County 2: Prologue By Dongmen Fengchui Xue A thousand years of beacon fires have burned to ash, and the Milky Way enters our dreams. Ying Xun crossed from antiquity into the present, stepping through the smoke of the Warring States era into this age. In modern-day Huang County, he found the person he had once known. For a time, he laid aside his armor and sheathed his sharp edge, staying by Lin Duan’s side amid the warmth of everyday life as the years softened and time flowed peacefully. He had thought the age of chaos was long past and the rest of their lives would be safe. But an experiment in space-based genetic engineering unexpectedly freed the Star-Eating Demon, asleep for a thousand years. The threat of all creation falling into ruin returned, and the world was once more thrown into turmoil. The Immortal Xingran summoned him, and the chains of fate tightened once again. To protect all living beings and keep his beloved safe, Ying Xun made his choice. He would make himself a vessel, draw on the boundless power of the stars, and face the demonic force. Returning to the battlefield, he would scour away the chaos with his solitary courage and avert another catastrophe. Their parting was sudden, with mountains and seas between them. Lin Duan stood where she was, gazing across the Milky Way, her heart unwavering. No matter how many miles of wind and frost or how many millennia stood in his way, she would always believe in him, wait for him, and hope he would return beneath the starlight so they could continue their story and guard the warmth of home together.
