The Biased Will

This story begins with a “biased” will and ends with a “complete” reconciliation. Si Yulan is not a perfect mother, but her love is whole. Si Yin and Si Yu are not perfect children, but their understanding is whole.

Family stories never truly end. They carry on from one generation to the next. But we can choose how to carry them on: with hatred or with love, with resentment or with understanding.

Jasmine flowers bloom every year, just as love is reborn each year. May everyone who has been hurt by their family eventually find the fragrance of their own flowers.
