【Romance, mutual secret crushes + brooding male ghost watching her + strong heroine + devoted pairing + revenge + secret identities】
Heroine: Pleasant on the surface, but actually short-tempered and fiercely driven. She'll blow up if anyone crosses a woman's line.
Hero: Quiet and cold on the surface, but actually possessive and clingy, a gloomy male ghost who loves watching the heroine and occasionally goes off the rails.
After Xie Sangnan is murdered by a friend, her soul arrives in a game world. To survive, she must clear the game's instances and collect soul fragments before she can return to her original world.
Cang Xingyu disguises himself as an ordinary new player and keeps up the appearance of being extremely timid. Xie Sangnan treats him kindly, sometimes teasing him: "You remind me a little of my crush."
Cang Xingyu assumes Xie Sangnan already likes someone and feels a little dejected, but he still protects her in secret.
Then one day, a mishap befalls the club Xie Sangnan belongs to, forcing them to come up with a solution. She hears that someone inside the club, at Cang Xingyu's prompting, has said that Player Number One has something that might save the club if they can get their hands on it. So Xie Sangnan sneaks in alone.
She only means to solve the problem and leave as quickly as possible, but as she turns to go, she runs into Cang Xingyu in his true form. Leaning against the doorframe with both hands in his pockets, he watches her with an amused, languid gaze. "Did you find... it...?"
"Why has a little cat broken into my house tonight?"
