When I opened my eyes, the world had changed. The sky was a strange, dark red, and the air reeked of decay. Three days ago, when that meteorite fell, I was just an ordinary college student. Now I’m one of the few survivors to have “awakened.” A silver mark has appeared in the palm of my right hand, allowing me to conjure ice blades from thin air. But this power came at the worst possible time: my girlfriend, Su Yao, is trapped in a supermarket warehouse, surrounded by infected, and my archenemy, Zhao Ye, seems to have awakened an even more dangerous ability.
The city is collapsing, and so is humanity. The military claims its “Ark Base” is taking in survivors, but screams keep coming from its laboratories. I have to grow stronger fast in this wasteland, because the secret hidden within Su Yao is the true origin of the apocalypse.
